I don't like the animation style, but I can see potential in the plot if they do it right. Focusing on characters is always the strongest part of any TV series, and having Ash hang around with a group of people consistently has potential (as opposed to, say, the companion-style characters which got boring with May).
And I'm glad the whole Serena thing will be behind us. Setting up her character the way they did and then never delivering made the fanbase so toxic, it's probably going to be remembered as the darkest part of the anime's history.

The Z-Move portion looked slick and I agree that the class is a much better idea than the companion formula.

I honestly think they might bring back some of his old Pokemons and split the new Alola Pokemons between the rest of the classmates. I mean, they've already picked the types for each of them. Mallow gets the grass types, Kiawe is fire, Lana is water, and so forth. It was made in Japan by Japanese people that don't know English. The sript was written in Japanese and the animation and lipflaps were based on that script.
The dialogue was then badly translated into English by the same incompetent fucks that handle the regular anime dub.

It's unknown whether there was a Japanese dialogue track recorded, but if there was, it obviously used the actual script the writer wrote too.

Looking good! The animation alone has me excited for this series; very expressive and fun, but the climactic scenes looked gorgeous in that PV, especially the bit with Turtonator. Well, Brock was a Rock type trainer and still caught a Zubat, Vulpix and Pineco. Granted, he did want to a breeder and thus had to experience a wider variety of Pokémon, but then again Iris wanted to be a Dragon Master and still had Excadrill and Emolga, Cilan was a Grass type Gym Leader and still had Stunfisk and Crustle. Clemont, Electric Gym Leader, had Bunnelby and Chespin. My point is just because Lana and Mallow and Kiawe are water, grass and fire trainers respectively, it doesn't mean they're tied to those types.

Hell, it might even be like the episode where Ash and Misty competed for Totodile.

So, is Ash going to a pokemon school with other trainers? and he;ll have to do the trials instead of gyms?
Why didn't they just start fresh with a new character. Maybe have Ash show up at the end to battle this kid for whatever reason.

If the Sun and Moon anime is what Pokémon is supposed to be about, I'm not a Pokémon fan. Generic shonen sounds a lot better to me than generic high school comedy.
