If GF didn't learn from last time, the datamine is going to be even more drastic this time because it's actually a new gen and all the pokemon/end game teams will be spoiled. ORAS datamine wasn't that bad because they already spoiled all the megas at that point and being a remake it was known what to expect anyway.

It was set in Mossdeep City. Each day you could do some mini mission like find the item/beat the trainers using a preset team of the middle stage starters at level 30. There were a few where you fought some grunts as "story" missions. After you complete a certain number of missions you unlock something new to transfer from the demo to the main game like a nugget or super potions, etc. As either the first or last reward, I don't remember, you get either the Glalitite or Steelixite based on your region.
It was okay. Something to turn on once a day, spend at most ten minutes with the mission, and come back to tomorrow.

I believe the Rom got leaked like a week early and we had the entire dex, pretty notable because multiple sites got warnings for posting about it. Its why Serebii refuses to post about leaks outside Corocoro or the like.
