I like the design of this thing, but it has such a strange posture

It's specialty is uppercuts so it makes sense that it's small.

Also it's clearly raptor-esque, and most of them were on the small side as well.

He would be taller if he was erect.

I wish they could have the Pokemon to scale with the trainers, but it's just not happening. Silvally is 7 feet tall, yet still looks tiny. Now that could be from head to tail, since the Pokedex is kind of bad about how it measures things, but even then it still doesn't look that long.

This. Everyone is so obsessed with their elevator shoes that they forget that a lot of fighting strategies are centered around offsetting your opponent's center of gravity, which is much easier to do when you are small and your opponent is big.

Plus, it's true that the bigger they are, the harder they fall. You ever wonder why an ant can survive an indefinitely long fall, but a human sustains serious injury after so much as twice one's body size? In this case it has to do with a combination of air resistance and atom/molecule density, but let's focus on the latter. You're very right. I was just at the atom bomb exhibition in Chicago and it's pretty incredible how even invisible-to-us tiny particles left after the explosion can mean our doom just as much as a gigantic explosion.

Also, everyone and everything really is not amounting to anything (I would use the word "worthless" but it obviously has negative connotations), but that's why we all should do what makes us and others feel good in the meantime.

Considering what it's based on, I'd say Aura Sphere is pretty likely.

We could use another Fighting type that can learn Aura Sphere (Lucario and Mienshao are the only ones. The rest of the Pokemon that learn it are legendaries, Togekiss, and Pokemon with Mega Launcher).

And yes hitting Fighting SE is all it brings to the table but what fighting type wants to take 2 dragon or fighting moves anyway? What it wants is steel, poison, fire, or ground coverage as those beat the types that do resist it's STAB.

Maybe they did it on purpose so you can hop onto it and use it as a mount.

Several moves are only a certain type so that the Pokemon that use them can get STAB on them.

For example, Crabhammer is just hitting the foe with your pincers. It has nothing to do with Water, but it's Water-type because Kingler is.

Same deal with Marowak and the "bone" moves.
