All I'm missing for unique Pokemon are Jirachi, Manaphy (& Phione), and Diancie. I can probably trade for them, but the only spares I have left from events that aren't currently ongoing are Mew and Hoopa, anything else will have to wait until Keldeo and Darkrai end and some oblivious person starts desperately looking for them the day after.

For alternate forms, I just reset my Alpha Sapphire copy for my third Deoxys and to get a second set of genies to keep in their Therian forms. The fourth Deoxys will need to be traded. I also need both event Vivillon, autumn Deerling/Sawsbuck which I can get next month, and that's it, until I get bored enough to go for all gender differences.

After losing my copies of X and Y over the summer, I lost a LOT of my drive to make a living dex.
I've worked a lot over these past few months to at least get 1 mon of every evo line so I can get a proper full dex, maybe even Living Dex, come Gen 7. Currently going through a VC run of Blue in which I've gotten Mew, which is the only Mythical I was still lacking... and my last Pokemon period on the benchmark. So the rest of the time til launch will be some evolving and breeding cyclically to fill out the pages bit by bit. Got until January anyways for the Pokebank update.

Then get two of some event mon you CAN get and trade for somebody else's duplicate. It's not hard to get legit duplicates of event pokemon, you just need two or more compatible games or get multiple codes from gamestop.

My living dex is completely finished except for Volcanion, alongside having every form for each Pokemon where they don't have to hold an item. Items don't transfer between gens, so I feel like there's no real point to having 17 Arceus sitting around if I could even get my hands on that many.

My next goal is getting every gender difference, and then probably a shinydex or something.

If you monitor the GTS closely enough you can get legendaries pretty easily. I managed to get a Palkia and Latios in the same day for an accelgor and a lopunny respectively. I recommend you get some lucky eggs and some blissey trainers in your secret base since people usually ask for specific levels when they deposit legendaries

Its not much, i have 3 or 4 separated boxes just with females. Its about 40 or so pokemons, you can still do it before SM hits.

The hardest ones must be the Torchic line and the ones with trade evolutions.

Not a fan of having box for Pokemon with a form change, so I don't see a reason to have 2 Giratina just because he can be Origin form when holding an item, or having 3 fucking Kyurem in my box because he can merge with Zekrom and Reshiram
