i've done a bunch. they are a great way to breath new life into games you have played a few times.

They're kinda fun. I did mono bug run on AS. Surprisingly Ninjask and Masquerain were my go to mons. I figured Armaldo would have been it before i started.

I have done monotype runs for 12 of the 18 types.

Very fun.

For added challenge pick one pokemon for each generation and no overlapping secondary typing to really diversify your team.

For Dark-Type, it was impossible to get one for each gen so you can double up if need be. But now with Alolan Form Muk and Persian, it could sorta be possible.

You only have the frail Purrloin/Liepard for two Gyms, then when you finally get more Dark types (Scraggy and Sandile) the gym you face with them is bug type.

The last monotype run I did was over fifteen years ago. I did Electric only on Yellow version because my cousin and I were bored as fuck in Mexico on vacation. He lucked out and got Water only since he was playing Blue. That run made me realize that there are no fucking Electric type Pokemon in Yellow. My team was fucking Pikachu, Jolteon, Zapdos, Electrode, Magneton. I couldn't get a fucking Electabuzz for a six man team.

The Elite Four was a special kind of hell. The worst part was having to kill Brock's retarded Rock niggers with Pikachu. I was grinding the patch of grass outside of Pewter for hours to get him to level fucking 20 so he could learn Slam.

I slammed and quick attacked his Geodude and Onix to death. I almost ran out of fucking PP.

I did a solo Farfetch'd run through FireRed. Aside from Brock being a huge pain in the ass, getting killed every time I see a Magnemite, relying on RNG to beat Lorelei (if her Dewgong Ice Beams before you've Swords Danced twice, you're dead), and only beating Blue by the skin of my teeth, it wasn't too hard, pretty fun actually. Also, what's /vp/'s opinion on using a mon that's not your monotype,but later evolves into one? Like can i use mudkip in a mono-ground run?

I've done several Normal runs, and a ghost run. It's pretty fun and using Normal type pretty much means I don't get wiped by anything but fighting, and even then I just make sure to have a powerful bird by my side. And with Oranguru in this game, it might even be easier.

I just want a flying type monorun, gen 2 or 4 is preferred though.
