I thought Red++ was supposed to be challenging. Two gyms down and only had two close calls. No loses yet. The hack didn't seem to alter trainer and gym teams at all which is disappointing.

Just started a Y Nuzlocke. Made it all the way to the three-in-a-row rival battle on the bridge last time, hoping to actually finish this time around.

Good start so far. Frog Prince is Modest, Gretel is Bashful.

sorry, i'm new to nuzlocke.
If I enter a route for the first time and the first encounter is a pokemon I caught before, can I keep searching for a different pokemon on the same route until I stumble upon one that I haven't caught?

second, can i catch the same pokemon that I once had and now is dead?

It all depends, some people play with what is called a "dupes clause", which basically means if their first encounter is a pokemon they already caught, they can look for another pokemon without losing that routes catch.

In short, its all up to you if you want to

Is wonderlocke allowed here? Currently playing OR, so far I've gotten zubat, poochyena and nuzleaf. Holding onto my ingame starter (treecko) until after I get the first badge so I have at least 1 mon that will listen to me.

That was really tough. I'm mad about losing vaporeon, I accidentally tried to double protect when I could've used follow me with clefable, went for the heal instead. Oh well, Starmie is looking promising.
Also I lost kirlia to the fucking shadow pikachu in the pregym. Fuck this hack for:

>giving it an 80BP shadow move with 30% paralysis
I have to grind up Starmie who's only level 27 right now (rest are like 32-35) but after that we'll be back to fucking up Cipher.

Tried to start my nuzluck yesterday on Pokemon Pyrite, but the 1/250 shiny chance might be too much to really do it. Anyone know a hack with more around 1/100 shiny chance?

Someone pick my Red starter.

Decided I was going to go back and attempt to nuzlocke each gen, similar to that guy doing it with every game, but just going to do one game from each gen instead. Starting with Red because I like it more than Yellow, then will stay with it until I finally succeed, then move onto one of the Gen 2 games.

Going to use the universal randomizer to change trade evos into level evos. I assume the randomizer doesn't have any sort of option to put the Blue exclusives into Red without fully randomizing the selection?

Final Update for the night, We now have an even braver bird, Thunder Armor was replaced by Spoopy in order to avoid redundancy, and there is still a little bit a grinding needed before i challenge Falkner

Finally figured it out. Got Pokemon Gaia working with a 1% shiny chance. Pretty excited. The rules:

Nuzluck Challenge
-can only catch shinies.
-starter is only regular pokemon allowed, making it a sort of reverse shiny.
-trade and received Pokemon can be used if shiny.
-if you see a shiny legendary you can't catch it, but you get to revive a Pokemon from the graveyard due to your lucky find.

Any other rule ideas?

Viola is always such a bitch I've never lost more than one Pokémon to her, but I almost always lose one. That Infestation is a killer. Almost ended up losing Frog Prince as well, but he pulled through.

Off to the next route, where I found a goddamn Ledyba. I'm starting to have some worries about this run.

Alright, I've been busy and haven't touched this BlazeBlack save in over 2 months.
Surprisingly enough, I'm in Nacrene City and haven't lost a mon as of yet. That should change quickly against the gym leader though...

Hell fucking yeah, everybody's alive.
I know the game pretty well so that kinda saved me. I led with my Watchog & Munna so as not to be disadvantaged by the double Intimidate lead.
Then proceeded to spread Sleep and Confusion left and right. Watchog is also an excellent bait for the Retaliates with Detect. Making it easy for my Sawk to sweep her team.

Fucking love Watchog early game

Which RSE/ORAS game would you guys recommend for a nuzlocke? I have never touched a 3rd generation game before. ORAS sounds like it's really easy like XY were from what I'm hearing.

Also rolling for my FireRed starter, as I'm doing a run through of that first.

It's an enhanced version of RS basically.
There's probably difficulty hacks as well, not sure though. But Emerald is fun if you can do with the absence of Physical/Special split

Two additions to the team, meet Mrs Oizo and Becky (forgot I had the fishing rod).

Resting my newly evolved Musharna for the Bug gym.

I'm also gonna roll later to decide which fossil I get to revive in Nacrene (it will be my Nacrene catch).
