But you understand that we call anime to diferentiate it from Western cartoons and that people here love pissing others off by saying that both are the exact same, when they're objectively not.
Different production times, procedures, budgets, and usually the artstyle, separates US cartoons from Japanese anime. Hell, even European cartoons are very different from American ones.

I hate Ashanime with passion but if they are really going for Harem/slice of life route I may even return to watch it after like, decade? I usually hate harem as it lack romantic conclusion but since its Ash I don't want him to win any girl and he probably never win anyway. I probably just watch it as cute girls doing cute things. They even generous enough to not have the annoying "funny side male guy" character in spotlight this season.

New anime looks cute and goofy. I like that they're switching up the art style so drastically. I barely watched XY and even less of BW, but I'll give this one a shot. It's sweet Ash's mom and Mr. Mime are tagging along. Can't wait to see Guzma and the gang. The next movie after the Magearna one could be interesting.
