I'm waiting to see it moving. The color scheme is a bit weird and I'm kind of disapointed the scales aren't closer to the one on Jangmo-o's head (that looks like an actual scale), but I'm past the initial disappointment enough to consider liking it.

Only wish it was a bit simpler, like remove the orange bits to make them the same yellow as everything else and it'd be a lot better already.

Is it just me or does anyone else get the feeling that half of the people complaining about it are buttmad JoJo/Diofags because they can't meme with it anymore?

I really like the typing. Something new and fresh. Design on the other hand... My first reaction was that its final evo is crap. Now I think that it's not so bad. I like the 'shoulder feathers' or whatever they are... buff arms also look nice. The only thing that I still hate is the dreadlocks-headdress and the scales on its tail.

Like many here I just wish they would have gone the ankylosaurus route. Jangmo-o looked so promising. Well, this thing gets a place on my team for now unless we get more cool dragon types (sorry, Turtonator) or dragon alolan forms.

Actually the design is based on ceremonial battle garb, which is also why the tail is somewhat reminiscent of Japanese war fans, and it has a fancy headdress like that.

The scales seem to be mostly for peacocking purpose. They may be thin and sharp too, to make the mon lighter for highest base speed since it is supposed to be fighter type, not bulky type. You can judge it from its quad weakness to fairy despite being dragon variant but has highly destructive STAB movepools.

I'm a fan of Steel types so the dual typing going to Fighting (my least favorite type) feels pretty bad. I'm not a huge fan of Dragons either.

The only steel type knight-based mon stole his armor.
Real Knight-mons are fighting types with either defensive (in the case of Chestnaught, Gallade, and Jangles here) or heroic-inspired (Muskadeers) abilities.
I would have liked dragon-steel, but this seems to be how knight-esque mons work now.
Maybe someday we'll get a steel-fighting fairy crusher, but doesn't seem like it'll be today.

I like it, but I feel that I'm going to need to see it in-game. A lot of these static poses are really unflattering for a lot of Pokemon, and I think that Jararanga is suffering from that.

I wish it was steel instead of fighting, but its still cool as shit, might use one

Anyways, I love it. Great typing. Not quite what I was expecting, but you know what, whatever, it's still cool.

The main thing I dislike is it's color scheme. I woudn't change anything crazy dramatic, but I'd make the inner arms black, make the grey a bit lighter (ala Jangmo-o), add a bit more saturation to the yellow to give it a more Gold color, and make the red-orange a more crimson. More or less just slight tweaks to increase the contrast and make it look more royal.

That fakemon with the dumbbells is pretty great. The scars are a bit too much in my opinion, but other than that it's solid and would have a spot on my team. Wimpy, self-conscious dragon turns into a truly strong fighting dragon.

Honestly I think the typing works cause it isn't so much a ankylosaur as a kind of feathered/ruffled serpent esque aztec design with hints of the large-armed T-Rex dino they based on the Indominus. Thus giving me a mon finally to name it after that monstrosity.

Though I will admit it feels more like it's Mega than anything else give how over-the-top it is. Ironically it still drawn pretty simply just detailed way too much. Cause what if they do give it a Mega lol? Spikes at that point, perhaps?

Though I think they messed up the box color for it, cause it looks to me like it's meant to Rock/Fighting? Cause isn't the text box color for Dragon usually always royal blue be it the Japanese Pokemon sources or not?

Or maybe they changed it cause all the gold on it's body, but sure as hell would love a kinda light dusky brown body, dark brown stripes, black feathers, and silver-blue scales for it's Shiny :)

Not feeling him so much. Could just be the awkward pose they have him in, but his arms look a little too long. That headdress thing also seems a bit busy. Actually, his design feels cluttered to me in general with all the gigantic scales popping off him at every corner.

Not the worst, definitely not the best. He's probably a super late-game poke anyway, so I wouldn't use him regardless.

Goodra by itself, I rather like. It's a gooey dragon, and it was found in a swamp. It seems fitting actually, that it be all gooey and slug-like considering it's habitat. And it's a neat concept. A slug dragon. You don't get that a lot, and they implemented it in a visually appealing way.

Much better design than what I expected when it was pretty much confirmed it was Dragon/Fighting. I tend to expect Fighting types to be humanoid so I feared the worst. I'm relieved this is what we got instead.
