They fucked up generations ago when the localization team transformed into a translation team. We didn't used to get stuck with such awkward, child-like speech patterns. They'd translate and fix up the lines a bit so they make sense in English, as opposed to infantile and repetitive babbling that is presumably acceptable in Japanese.
AZ had awkward ramblings about hobo-philosophy that could have been a little more interesting if it wasn't so stilted and bizarre.
And then there's shit like this:

What in the actual fuck is that entire second sentence? It checks out for English, but contextually it's lame as hell and totally useless.
The hand-holdingness was bad enough with literally any NPC telling you what to do, and then a second NPC immediately buts in and tells you the same thing with slightly different words. In this instance, they had an NPC say something, and then say the same fucking thing again with different words. I haven't heard people speak English like this outside of 1960s drama.

I dunno, I'd consider things like N founding the team to be an important plot point. Possibly reveal the fates of the gen 5 player characters as well. Of course, this is just fanfiction and has no grounds for actually showing up.

Maxie and Archie showing up on the other hand, I can see it. It's stated they used to be on the same team with each other ages ago and the Aether foundation could've definitely been it. It's not like either team was especially evil in comparison to others. ORAS dumps so much exposition in every nook and cranny to be found in the game, I won't be surprised when Sun and Moon intends to wrap a lot of it up. I'd be more than happy if these were the last games in the main series, but it makes way too much money for this to be the case.

Backstory details aren't something that need to be wrapped up, those are just there to expand on Maxie and Archie's roles in R/B/E/OR/AS. The only possibly thing to 'resolve' would be gen 5's protagonist returning, and that'd have no emotional weight to anybody who didn't play Black/White. N was resolved, him founding the Aether wouldn't be an evolution of his character as much as a cameo that takes him in an entirely new direction just to see him show up again. Like you said, it's fanfiction.
