the new designs were pretty shit overall, and megas were/are cancer, but i still enjoyed the games.

It's the first gen where I felt zero compulsion to replay the games.

X/Y was pretty bad. I still think DiPer gen was the worst, but X/Y aren't much better off. I'm still baffled that they introduced something like Mega Evolutions and there are only three fights in the entire game that ever use them.
