Switch lead. Slap some choice specs on him, max out Speed and Sp attack, timid nature. Then at the start of every battle you can hit something with fake-out and volt switch and either get a kill and a flinch or a kill, or just a switch into a better matchup.
You could also stay in if you want.

Nah, I think there just needs to be nerfing to all super-effective shit in general, and buffing resistances. This is why the games are incredibly easy, you just have a team of 6 hyper offensive double types, and you can OHKO with your 12 STAB options. That needs to stop being a thing.

Monotypes aren't inherently bad, but certain types in general are. Ice, Bug, etc.

I would love to see high level pokemon battles not be decided by a single super effective move when not dealing with a defensively oriented Pokemon. Oneshots are boring. If battles become too slow as a result, switch to 3v3 or 4v4 formats where they were previously 6v6. But considering stall is so popular right now, I don't think anyone cares how long battles take.
