1. Sorry, but I do not know. Though I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be in the game. Keep in mind that there really are not a very good selection of Alolan forms of certain common Pokémon types.

2. No, you do not revisit any past regions. This is a huge game as is, so revisiting Kalos would be an impossibility.

3. No, none of the past games' main characters are gonna be in the game.

Worth noting too that the Moon Dial is in the game. The Sun and the Moon Dials, however, are facilitating the energy of Solgaleo and Lunala respectively for a special purpose. The Ultra Beasts have something to do with this, btw.

1. Huge game in the same sense that a game like Final Fantasy VII is huge in size compared to Final Fantasy VI. Graphically, length, size, everything. There really isn't a postgame with a great deal of depth (like what we had in the 4th or 5th gen games), but there's so much in-game content that you hopefully wouldn't even mind all that much. Combined with the multiple storylines, it more than lengthens the game considerably.

2. Well, each Z-Crystal would have to be earned somehow, right? There's 18 type-specific Z-Crystals in the game. So there'd have to be 18 type-specialists to hand them to you. Solgaleo and Lunala have the most significant roles in the entire game. Zygarde also plays a significant role in Alola's lore, as he came in from Kalos when the source of the Ultra Beasts originally came in and ravaged the island. As a result, Poni Island is not really the most hospitable of islands, but there are a few Trial Captains there. Still, don't expect every single Z-Crystal over there to come from a Trial Captain.
