Idk what to do with muk. Right now it knows sludge wave, dig, minimize and attract. I boxed it after double battles kept getting more common (making sludge wave useless unless lucario was in) and I kept having to fly everywhere; now its so far behind I'm not sure if I want to grind it back up.

Decided to replay Emerald and use Pokémon that I've never used or rarely used before:

I'm loving the fuck out of Sableye. Got lucky and caught one with Adamant nature. Even when it was under leveled it tanked Brawly solo.

Pokemon Platinum, next game for my no wild xp challenge. Basically means I can't fight wild pokemon for experience at all. It was originally to prove that earlier pokemon games actually are challenging to a degree and the meme that 'pokemon was always as easy as gen 6' false. Just doing it for fun now, at Hearthome gym. Already did leafgreen, Emerald and Soulsilver.

Haven't thought of nicknames for my Gyarados and Gible. Murkrow was hacked in at wild capture level since it's unobtainable in platinum and I didn't want the bonus trade xp.

I am doing a thing where I have to wondertrade away my team after each badge, don't know if this is already an existing challenge.
Just traded away: Kadabra, Umbreon, Diggersby, Gyarados, Masquerian and Linoone.

New team: Pawniard, Houndour, Zubat, Wurmple, Larvitar and Ponyta

The team I just got rid of was hell, All level 4 and lower except level 10 Magikarp and Abra, splash and teleport. I am much happier with this one.

And, fakemon too. Uranium had a fucking stupid level curve around after gym 5,and even after 2 hours at 3x speedhack grinding I only had enough xp to maintain a team of 5. Most fakemon were trash but some were decent, which is why I hacked in literally my mom's demon as my fire type,which was a ridiculous xp drain as well since it only reaches its final form at level 72. For the curious, the fakemon names are Metalynx, Syrentide, Yatagayru, Frosthra and Beliaddon.

Even if I didn't have Metalynx near singlehandedly carrying the team until everyone evolved I wouldn't use Garlikid, what a stupid design. Most of the fakemon had good concepts but fuckawful sprites, especially the things that were just reskinned gimmicks like Ratsy and duplicat.

Ice bug takes a fuckton of xp but it oneshots everything and gets oneshot by everything in return.

On my first playthrough of X, just started Viola's gym in Santalune.

Lady and Tiny are probably the only ones that will stay, because I want to do a playthrough with only new mons plus I hate bug types.

Never ran into a sixth Pokemon I wanted to use that types didn't already clash on, so I just went with these five. Sixth slot was a Chikorita with just Cut and Flash.

I'm in the postgame and have kind of lost all motivation to keep going when I found out they kept the neutered GSC Kanto for postgame instead of trying to make all of Kanto like its original RBY version. They have more railroading on Kanto to presumably give it a better level curve which is cool.

Otherwise though it was a pretty nice hack.

Alright. The main thing is that I pay a lot of attention to how the names sound, simply put some syllables and consonants sound better than others and are associated with different things. A syllables are my favourite, o is generally something that feels strong, it's hard to explain. Oh, and I fucking hate overused names, their value is diminished because of how often they're mis/used.
Greek and Norse pantheons especially.

From Kusanagi no tsurigi, supposedly a sword from Amaterasu that the Japanese imperial line holds as proof they're her descendants. I thought it fit well with a royal sword pokemon.

Twitch Plays Pokemon Anniversary Crystal

I went into it not knowing what the hack was actually going to be and named my rom "Pokemon Crystal - twitch meme edition" expecting the entire script to be rewritten with TPP memes or some shit, but it's actually just a pretty good remix of Crystal. The game actually starts as a remix of RGB, but after a point fairly early on you end up in Cherrygrove and it becomes a Johto run from there on.
