No other options, compounded with the fact that nobody around can comprehend how internet even works, means that they can offer very little data/speed for ludicrous price. On the rated ladder you get removed from the leaderboards if you constantly disconnect, that's a pretty good punishment. I don't think they have much reason to care if people disconnect in casual battles
