Most except the 98% 2400 one which I hatched have shit IVs including the exeggcute. I'm holding out for a couple good IV ones to evolve cause the others aren't worth powering up. I just toss them in gyms if they have psychic or seed bomb and use the solar beam ones to take down gyms.

Well I'd just take her there it sounds fine, and if she's a little on the trashy side there's plenty of cheap hotels for a night. It dosent matter where you take her and you don't even have to make it a perfect date. The new update should solve most of your problems.

Current 0.39 version: "Fuck, my 500CP mon can't beat a 1500CP vape."
New 0.43 version: "Three of my 500CP mons can beat a 1500CP vape for 1000 prestige."

(Also, if you're level 20, and that 1500CP vape is level 30, the game will lower the level - and therefore, the CP - of the vape to something more like 1000. And even if your first 500CP mon can't take it out, if your second one can, you can still prestige the gym up.)

One positive of the lack of scanners currently is I've learned the best time to walk across the street for spawns. My neighbors house has 4 spawns, mine has two that I can reach from bed. I actually got a dragonite the first night they rotated the spawns around. (I've only had reachable spawns since rotation) mine was pic related, wife got a 2495cp.

scaling is based off of two things:
1. Your level
2. Defending pokemon's level

If defending pokemon's level is higher than your level+2, it gets scaled down to your level + 2

So if you're level 20 and you're against a level 30 vaporeon (~2.2k CP), it would be scaled down to level 22 (~1.7k CP)

If you're level 20 against a level 19.5 CP vaporeon (~1.5k CP) owned by a level 30 player, it won't be scaled at all

What if...

each gym was only allowed to have 1 of each pokemon? E.g. if there is already a snorlax there, find something else to put in it.

Is that a dumb idea? I feel like it would add some variety to the game and you'd end up with less of the stupid lvl 10 gyms with 7 dragonites and 3 snorlaxes in them.

It would also make attacking gyms more interesting since you would likely need more variety in your lineup.

At 29, I powered my dragonite from 2992 to 3018. I thought that gain was a soft cap. Now I'm 30, just powered it up once and it only went up to 3043. Thats only 25. 26 then 25. I didnt power it up again not worth it. I didnt realize th3 soft cap continues or is it unique only to dragonites (3k soft cap then 31 softcap)?

My vaporeon went from 2420 to 2460 after maxing it out

What's the point of showing type of moves? It doesn't tell you anything on Eeveelutions and is half useless on many mons (Exeggutor can only have psychic fast move).

Yeah, despawning is probably the biggest problem with current system. In normal games you know Pokemon is in grass on that route, you just search until you find it (and even with the rarest ones it takes ten or twenty minutes). In Pokemon GO it despawns in a couple of minutes and you have no idea when it will reappear, might be random hour next day when you sleep or are at work. Looking for Pokemon without scanners is often too risky/not worth the effort.

Outside of some "double" points, you're also guaranteed NOTHING will appear in that point for 45 minutes after a Pokemon despawns.

here Mystic and Valor are pretty balanced and most people get 30-60 gold a day
Candela is the best leader but I hate Moltres and while Sparky and Zapdos are cool I wouldn't want to have to spend an hour every day just fighting gyms to get 30-40 coins with Instinct

Doesn't matter. There are assholes who have multiple accounts with different teams and use them to kick out the lowest teammate to make room for themselves and their shitmons.

In a crowded gym, you are now competing against your teammates.

Changing teams in an opportunistic attempt to get better traction in a gym is just going to backfire for all the people who aren't already having a fun time in a gym because you probably don't have the high level battlers who could keep you in the gym to begin with.

It used be just 3 dragonites at the top then a mix of snorlax and lapras starting at 2300. When it was taken down after 3 weeks it had become 10 dragonites, making it sinfully easy to kill

I was at a cluster of two gyms, in the middle of one battle it kicked me out and wouldn't let me get back into battle without an error, moved to the next gym just across the road and it let me battle that

Makes sense, one of the gyms was in a terrible reception spot, and my location was flying all over the place, took me like a minute to actually start the initial battle because it thought I was too far away despite standing right on top of the place

Gym errors are extremely annoying. If u haven't tried this yet, so so. You have to wait 10 minutes.

A common occurrence where you get error bur don't drift is when someone is training the gym, you bring the prestige down 500 a mon real time during the battle. Say you bring it 39500/40000 after beating the first two of 9 mons (was 40500/50000 pre battle], someone then quickly trains it and gets >500 prestige and brings the gym back to level 9 then adds a Pokemon higher in rank than the one you're currently battling, youll get an error. Niantic servers cant handle midbattle mon switches

Ive been the culprit when mystic spoofer was bringing down just past level 4, 3500. Was an RK9 first used a seadra and got it up to 4300 threw in a lapras. Battling stopped. Actually managed to serve the spoofer an error
