I think it could and here are some suggestions.
> GTS
Separate the GTS into two seeking tabs. One for legendaries and one for regular pokemon.
>Wtrade
Region choice. That way if you want a Japanese Pokemon or a German Pokemon, you can get them like that.
>Trade requests
Chat feature. Makes it easier to come to a conclusion or get help with evo trades.

I just want that for GTS there would be a database or something that included all of possbole pokes to trade and not bullshit like shiny lvl 1 Darkrai. At least that. Also, isn't only chat not implemented of all of your suggestions?

Which gen was it that had the emoticons when trading player to player? I don't think GameFreak would ever give us a straight up chat feature, but having some way to show the other person you like or dislike one of their trade options instead of just backing out of the trade completely would be nice. Unless that is still a feature and I'm just a dumbass for missing it.

We should also be able to see the ability, nature, and stats of the Pokémon being offered. That way we have a better idea of which trades are legit and which trades are trying to trick you.
We should also have more room to write a description of what you have or what you want
