When the actual theme at 1:02 sets in, that just gets to me. (sortof like the Bike theme for DPPt, it gives me a sense of adventure). I'm hoping that'll be the leitmotif, or at least a route theme.

Team Skull battle theme is GOAT

Also I'm digging the Aether Foundation building theme from the japanese trailer. It sounds promising so far. Nothing will ever beat gen 5's OST though

Something about it just clicks with me, I hope Hau's theme changes at some point towards the end. Not as drastic as Wally's but something just as powerful for someone giving you a friend comeptition

The wild and trainer battles are too saccharine for me. I like the Skull themes and the trial encounter themes. What will make or break the soundtrack for me will be the leader themes, i.e. whatever big bosses replace the gyms and elite four, including the trial captains. If they make those bland happy tunes too then I will be upset. They don't have to be edgy but we haven't had a climactic/interesting gym theme since gen 4.

we haven't heard the trial captains, but we've heard the trial encounters (not sure if thats what they're officially called). i.e. the boss pokemon that summon minions. It's in one of the earlier trailers, it's basically the wild battle theme but remixed to be more intense

Not only is this one of the most used patterns in the series, you're judging it by a small snippet that you can barely hear as it fades out.
On top of that, it really isn't that theme in the slightest.
