Baby pokemon are legitimately garbage, and no Riolu doesn't count as one neither does togepi

They're just added after the fact in order to pad dex numbers and serve absolutely no purpose

That's true, but babies are so underwhelming that they're not worth leveling up just so they turn into something passable. They have no reason to make a resurgence and were the worst part of Gen 2.

Look at the top tier of LC and at single stage no-evo mons to determine what needs babies. To me, the only purpose of babies IS adding/removing pokemon from little cup since they aren't used outside of that.

Wobbufett and Wynaut are among my least favorites because I can never use them in-game without giving myself a headache and a one-trick pony in competitive. Also, I hated it in the animu when I was younger.

I'm more or less happy with it. Most consistent gen 7 starter imo, assuming we don't have some crazy upset where Del Taco and co. are all fake. I doubt you could call it an upset, though.

That's fair. If I ever do a run with Litten I'll do the same for Torracat probably. Torracat has an a++ design 2bh.

As of Gen 6, the ones you catch in the wild are useful for breeding materials if you don't have a 6 IV Ditto and don't trade with others often. Through chain breeding, you can pretty much get good IV Pokemon from almost all of the egg groups except genderless mons and male-only species.

Kangaskhan is the ONLY baby form that needs to happen, though i'm pretty sure at this point it's a joke with Gamefreak so it never will

baby pokemon are a shit gimmick but some cute ideas i have are:

I think baby pokemon are good when they let pokemon you'd only get mid to late game be found earlier, bonus points if they're actually somewhat useable in-game. I think Munchlax is a good example of that.

Ones that connect two lines are also good. I'd like one that connects miltank and tauros.

A Sawk/Throh purple pre-evo that has the white pants and a white belt would be neat. Make it a dirty fighter because it's undisciplined. Evolve based off stats just like the Hormone to further their imitations of them.

I want a smug tadpole prevo for Croagunk. Lapras, of course. Absol, Druddigon, Gligar, Heracross, Pinsir, Scyther, Audino, Girafarig, Cryogonal, Stunfisk, Carnivine, Taurus & Miltank would all be good candidates too.
