Will we ever have a Pokemon game with no RNG?
>>29037086
god I hope not
>>29037086
RNG is a huge part in most RPGs. I'm in no way an expert but is there even a turn based RPG where luck plays no role whatsoever?
>>29037086
I hope not.
>>29037155
I'm going to go full retard for the sake of argument and say chess, because each piece has a particular role and whatnot and there's no random elements. But that is really pushing it.
>>29037086
unless they completely change the game to not be turn based, they can't remove RNG without making every battle super boring.
>>29037155
I was thinking of videogames only but I guess that counts... kinda?
>>29037219
He said rpg. Chess is not an rpg.
>>29037302
which is probably why he said 'I'm going to go full retard for the sake of argument' and 'that is really pushing it'.

Whoops meant to reply to
>>29037219
Would it be an idea to change it as follows:
- If Player 1 gets a crit he cannot get another one until Player 2 gets one as well.
- Same with additional effects of about the same likeliness.
Won't work with misses..

Mario & Luigi/Paper Mario

Stache and status effects.
>>29037472
Lets be honest though, for one status effects are rare, and who is really bad enough for the lucky hits from stache points actually save you from anything at all let alone status effects screwing you over.
>>29037155Undertale
>>29039635
there's RNG in that game though
>>29037486
Doesn't matter, those are randomly generated and that's enough to answer the question
The game you're looking for is Rock Paper Scissors
