The demo will give pkhex a head start. Once the new pk file format is cracked, it's just a matter of updating egg moves and the legality checker. Shortly after release we'll know route locations and everything else as well. PKHex will be up to date by Christmas, Pokebank isn't updating until next year.

PHBank doesn't need to know how Pokébank works, they just have their own database and read the boxes from the savefile just like PCHex++ or PKHeX does, and inject/read on demand. It'll just need the save format stuff to be documented, which given the state of the scene, will happen REALLY fast. Unless Gocario died, PHBank will get support much faster than the official bank.
