I agree! I really miss the cross gen evolutions!
Mawile and Sableye should've gotten one instead of a Mega.
I still have hopes for Dunsparce and Corsola to evolve and for Lapras to have a Baby.

Genuinely makes me sad. A lot of my favorite pokemon are cross gen evos. Weavile, porygon z, scizor, bellosom, crobat, steelix, and mismagius are all in my top ten favorites.

I'd love to see pokemon add some more options like pokemon having evolution and mega evolution.

Like, a stage 1 for Mawile or Stage 2 from Houndoom, but they go down a different path from the normal megas. Learn some new moves, plus stats that give it options with items. Make it a choice where you want to go. Megas probably should be the strongest at first glance and be all about the radical/mid combat type/ability changes but you know, raw strength is not all the games about.

An actual ability in Solid Rock which makes it tank supereffective moves as well as Rhydon, the ability to use an item like Leftovers or Choice Band, not being badly creeped by knock off and being more powerful. Stop perpetrating the myth that Eviolite Rhydon is better because it's blatantly false.
