Ok since you are counting the gameboy and gameboy colour separately, you should count the DS and DSi separately since BW and BW2 had (some) DSi features.
I'd not be too swift on counting SM as a 3DS title either since it may have some new 3DS features which makes it a separate gen according to your logic.
What I'm saying is merge gen 1 and 2 or neck yourself.
