The only way you guys would be able to play this a little bit earlier is if the Japanese eShop updates before US/EU does and has the demo up for download. The filesize alone implies there's a lot of pokemon, or rather, a lot of models. ORAS is 1.8GB, and 1.4GB of that is literally just the music and the pokemon models. To reach S/M's 3.2GB, you'd have to DOUBLE those. I do realize that the trainers have bigger models, and the maps are probably a bit bigger to compensate for that. but I doubt they're fucking 1GB bigger.

Hackers are amazing, just for the fact I didn't know how to and couldn't be bothered with.

The non-chibi models, and scaled up overworld might take up a lot of processing power. Maybe removing the grid makes location data much more cumbersome?
There might be overworld Pokemon models that are fairly detailed as well.
Lots of old music, maybe?
Maybe there are lots of new animations for Amie?
Maybe there is a maze of interaction trees going on, somewhere. If the rumors of being able to hear the thoughts of your Pokemon are true, maybe each pokemon has a thought about every other Pokemon? Could something like that take up lots of data?
Maybe some clownshoes at GF just can't code properly?

Animations wouldn't really add a lot of size, as that's just adding to the models. it'd be a point if it was still sprite based, however.
That would largely be text based. you could write interactions for every pokemon against every other pokemon and still barely increase it by .1, if that.
