just saw the actual anime episode with Eusine in it and it was better than Generations trash interpretation.
Lake of Rage episode was a bit disappointing too. at least Petrel made an appearance.
the actual lake of rage episode from the anime series was much more intense. there were no rocket executives like Petrel but others that don't show up in the games. they were fine too.

The ashnime battles are usually terrible anyway. Even when animated well, they amount to Ash screaming the same attack moves as every other episode and yelling "dodge it!" every few seconds. I still maintain that there has never been nor will be better battles than Sinnoh had simply because it was the only season that brought up abilities, strats like a trick room team, and cool variations on moves like the counter-shield and that mid-air spin dodge.

Yes and No. He only evolves his Golbat into Crobat after you beat him in Mt. Moon. Before that, you battle him once at the end of Victory Road. After Mt. Moon, you can face him inside the Pokemon League building twice a week, which is when he'll have his Crobat there.

The Generations episode probably takes place in the latter time frame.

Speaking of which, why the hell was he in Mt. Moon? Like, during your journey through Johto he's racing you to the league, but after he loses in victory road, he says he wishes to go train harder. So I guess he goes to Kanto to train, but he doesn't seem to have a journey there, he literally just appears once at Mt. Moon before fucking off back to Johto. His Kanto appearance is kinda random.
