With the existence of Ilima, I can breath easy. Even though the Japanese site did say there will be more of Trial Captains, but the way GF promotes those 4 Captains made me restless.

So, yeah. It's good to confirm stuff. I just hope they do cover all types with a captain to represent them. It's a big stretch but let's see.

All I need is a wizard/sage-like fairy type trial captain and I will die happy.

It's because the Japanese toy comes with the four Z-crystals we've seen so far, along with Normal and Fighting. Since we know there's a normal totem early in the game, people figure there's a good chance the fighting one's on the first island, too.

I think Hala will use Fighting types; he makes a sumo similar stance and he uses a Crabrawler.
The thing that most blatantly clashes with this theory is Tapu koko, but I think using a Legendary against you at the start of the game is overkill.

It's high, but not 100%. The Trials are A source for Z Crystals, but probably not the ONLY source for them. It is still possible there are only a few of them and you find the rest.

The yellow flower fields are on the back of the island since it's not visible on the map. This is known for being the home of Cutiefly and Oricorio Pom Pom. There could be other things there, but it would take me a while to notice everything that's been seen in those fields.

4 captains, 4 totem pokemon. That makes 8, which makes it even with pokemon gyms. I don't know about this game's version of the elite four though.
