Guys, the big problem with newer generations of Pokemon is that they're way too detailed to the point where they just look like variations of older Pokemon. Generation 1 had simple color schemes and this was probably heavily due to color palette limitations, but this generation of Pokemon are a clusterfuck of details that are simply impossible to keep up with.
