I don't know... they said that Festival Plaza is now the hub for communications features. It would be a step back from Gen VI if there was a specific in-game location for these features rather than always having them available on the bottom screen, but that does sort of seem to be what they're suggesting, doesn't it?

As I said, it seems like a step back to me. It was nice being able to press a button and access these features from anywhere, rather than having to drop what you're doing and visit a specific in-game location.

Actually, I suspect that this will be somewhere in between -- Festival Plaza won't be a real in-game location that you can walk or fly to, but you can "teleport" there from anywhere via the lower screen. So more like an interactive PSS town, rather than a series of menus. If that's the case, I'm not sure how I'd feel about it. I liked the convenience of having all of the features so quickly accessible and the ability to see al of the acquaintances/passers-by/etc. no matter what else you were doing, but on the other hand Join Avenue was a really fantastic feature, that I'm very happy to have return in some form.

Well I'll explain in Bw2 there was this place that with getting items called the join avenue. While the more you trade the more people you send to your avenue leveling you up and giving you bonuses and making everything cheaper and getting more items

The nips started a system called the magnemite coil, due to being easily being found and even found easier with magnet pull

So everyone was trading with each other just for random magnemites

Actually there are NPCs that are exclusive to the entralink view of their world that you can't see in the main game and that's not counting White Forest/Black City NPCs. Plus you can turn into a Pokemon too. In Black and White 2 there are also the funfest missions that are competitive co-op missions of sort where you either gather items, defeat trainers or do a specific task within a time limit.

Are you seriously trying to say traversing an unchanging mine where the only multiplayer game is capture the flag is on the same level? Hell the Funfest Missions are basically Pokemon's version of the island minigames in ACNL.

No, it was just called Coiling. Magnemite's japanese name is Coil.

The other thing is, the Magnemites were found at level 10 or so, at just the right point that they know Sonic Boom (level 11) and have enough HP to survive exactly one.
So catch a magnemite, use its Magnet Pull to find another one, use sonic boom, catch it, GTS it for another Magnemite.
