I'm level 25 yet I feel like my team is one of the weakest around this thread. I'm happy that now I have variety on my team but every time I see it I just wonder how it's that they all have such low CP.
Even with my Arcanine, which is almost maxed out, and my Vaporeon, which is maxed out I just feel like they should be 2,4k or 2,2k watching how people has snorlaxes at 2k being only level 21.

I'm not having a lot of trouble fighting gyms since in my town I'm only able to take 2 or 3 every day and those are never more than level 3 but whenever I travel to the city I just get jelly watching so many monsters in all the gyms from people that has levels far below mine.

Any chances of Niantic balancing CP and attack values? They tweaked Vaporeon some time ago didn't they?

That's not really true, since you need to subtract the 50% that you'd have gotten anyways.

For every shitmon you evolve, you get 500exp PLUS the 500exp from the lucky egg. Then add the fact that you also catch wild mons and hatch eggs, so it'll be more like 30% of your exp is from lucky eggs.

I can get about 20 coins per day if I'm lucky. My city has a bunch of high-level gyms I can't take on my own as well as a few low-level ones with a high turnover. I don't want to walk like 5km every morning or evening just doing gyms, either.

It's just that Snorlax is so ridiculously powerful compared to other Pokémon. My Vaporeon (maxed at level 24) is also just under 2000, and it's my strongest right now. I'd do so much better if I'd just get a Snorlax out of an egg or something, but Go is really just luck in that regard.

They didn't really tweak Vaporeon, they just made Water Gun weaker. Vaporeon is still amazing because it's got a high CP/HP combo, just like (but less than) Snorlax.

Do you find Rapidash on a consistent basis? Admittedly most evolved mons are positioned 7 miles away from the ball so I can understand that. But with pretty much every unevolved mon this works fine. Only issues I've had are with Caterpie and Weedle since they're at a retarded angle

Curveballs are objectively harder to hit the target with. Even if you get used to them, they're effectively like aiming at the dartboard at an angle. They seem to have smaller effective range as well.
You also can't time your throw as perfectly as you can throwing normally, since you have to keep the ball spinning and release it from a certain point.
In my opinion, it's much better to have a higher chance of getting a higher tier regular throw than praying to get anything more than a nice with a curveball, especially considering how often the game decides to cuck you out of the bonus due to the bug.

I've found the best strategy is to just stick my midrange decent mon into a level 6+ gym.

No one bothers fucking with high gyms anymore. You make sure your dude isn't in the bottom two, and you should be set for a week at this point.

I was like this until the migrations last month. I only played when I was at a city because at town I ran out of pokeballs catching shitmons all day. Past level 20 I stopped catching shitmons and now thanks to the migrations and added spawnpoins interesting stuff appears like evolved mons, nidorans, abras, clefairy etc etc.

So it turns out doing a pokestop loop of at least 10 unique stops isn't enough to get the extra items every 10 stops.
I've found a decent place where I can hit 14 unique stops in about 7 minutes and then start again at the first one, but it doesn't always give the bonus every 10th stop so I suspect there's some kind of longer cooldown which prevents them from counting towards the bonus again for a certain amount of time, rather than 'unique stops visited' simply resetting to 0 after you hit the tenth.

My gyms usually last a few hours before turning yellow again, then I go out the next day and take them all for 50 coins a day.

I can only speak from experience but generally speaking, Niantic seems to have balanced the game so Dratini and Dragonair often spawn by sea level areas near bodies of water and Dragonite spawns near high elevation areas, same as Clefairy. Source? Because what I've found so far are two Clefairy nests that are low altitude and a third suspected one. It's more likely there are certain Pokemon associations, Clefairy come alongside both Nidoran, Geodude and Machop families.

Caught 84 Pokemon but fuck that feeling when using great balls on shit mon. I had like 130 great balls and 40 pokeballs. I had been deleting pokeballs cause they're the most replenishable and been needing room for shitty potions cause i train all the time. But fuck. It's not a big deal to walk for 10min and hit 20-30 pokestops but damn. 5 new spawn spots + 120min of consecutive lures = no match for my bldgs two pokestops.
