It works for me in generations I, II, III and IV
But it's changed for me in Generations V and VI.

I prefer Tepig over Snivy and Oshawott, but I really hate Emboar, so Samurott is my favorite final evo out of Gen V.

I prefer Fennekin over Froakie and Chespin, but I also prefer Frogadier over Quilladin and Braixen, and finally - I hate Delphox, but very like Greninja and prefer Chessnaught over them

I like the design of the grass types better, on average.

Rowlet is really fucking cute, and so is chikorita. My favorite to use would be a 3 way tie between sceptile, feraligatr, and empoleon.
