Both forms suffer from an odd chubbiness that hurts them equally.
Altered Forme wings look awkward because the spikes look solid while the black matter doesn't.
The mask opening up on Origin Forme is a small but extremely clever detail.
Doesn't look that much like a Ghost, a bit closer to Dark honestly.

Simple, menacing and effective.
Unique and memorable despite its simplicity.
Arms make it seem like it could have some sort of hind limbs that aren't there but it doesn't hurt the overall design.
Unfortunately suffers from Gamefreak's "No Teeth Syndrome" but something universal to all Pokemon can't be held against any one.
Solid 8.5/10
