That's the most disgusting glitch in the game bar none. Even the catch rate can be worked around. It ruins incentive to try to beat high level gyms because all your progress could be fucked after committing 20-45 minutes of your time.

Also there is the eternal loading error, this one I found out that choosing your mons and waiting a few seconds before clicking battle helps.

Also there are devices that have only wi-fi as location method. Gym battles should work like pokemon catching, You need to be very close to initiate but you have a bigger radius before being kicked.

Farming Dratinis is indeed very tiring, I am probably done with Coronado for some days since my knees are starting to hurt from all the driving and walking on the beach for the past month or so but I have 5 Dragonites to show for it! I hear that Dragonite straight up spawns in some areas so I'm starting to research a bit on the silph road atlas and online reports to see if it's worth cutting to the chase or not. So which one of these guys should I evolve eventually? I've got 187 candy now and I actually want to keep going to about 225 until I will evolve my first Dragonite. (In case it has a really disappointing move set the pain will hurt a little less). I know a few places where I can often find Dratinis, making me even lazy for sometimes ignoring them when I'm busy with something else.

So our local grocery now spawns Pikachu out the wazoo, and Bulbasaur now spawn at the end of my street pretty regularly.

Dude it's not GPS drift it's a glitch that makes gyms inaccessible for a little while. You get to the fight screen and when you start tapping to attack you get the error message immediately and it stops the fight.

It's happened to me twice when a team member who holds the gym starts prestiging it as I'm trying to beat it.

I got mudshot / ice beam(punch? on my 3rd ego and it was also my first and only 100% pokemon. Ive never used it as I got very lucky first two times If he wasnt 100% i would have transfer him

European here. It bothers me so much that I spent 2 weeks in Australia and New Zealand just as the game was released but I had no idea that Kangaskhan was a region exclusive there. It is weird when kids are super hype when you show up and help them, it's cute though.

I helped normies take a few gyms while at a college concert yesterday.

I had to drive 30-37 mins just to get to Coronado(which is Santa Monica Pier tier spawns) before but now I can literally go get ice cream or some coffee while I wait for a Dragonite to spawn instead of farming about 25 candies per day on average. And I had only seen 8 Snorlax in the wild in the first 2-3 months, 2 fled and 5 were hatched while only ever catching 1 that was 1100 CP. Fighting gyms is going to be ridiculous if everyone has an army of Snorlax.

A lot of pokemon that aren't good become viable when you take gym prestiging into account. Some pokemon are good for attacking enemy gyms, some pokemon are good for defending allied gyms, etc.

Then there are low CP capped pokemon that come in handy so that you get huge prestige points every time you win. Marowak? Pit it against your 1500 Nidoking that rolled Poison Jab Sludge Wave. Ninetales or Rapidash can try to beat a much higher CP Leaf Blade Victreebel. A Parasect could probably beat a Slowbro of much higher CP. Cloyster, Dewgong, Clefable, and Wigglytuff all 1v1 a Dragonite of much higher (or even double) CP.

You are now aware that every pokemon has some use in game (besides Onix, Lickitung, and the Hitmons).

I think I'm gonna close pokestumble, monitoring gyms is making me sad they are no longer at 52k.

evolved a 1562 water gun/ hydro pump golduck first try today and my 3rd victreebel is 1851 acid/solar beam. best offensive moveset to go along with my 2041 razor leaf/sludge bomb defender. it's been a good day. also caught a snorlax as i walked out of class though it was only 15xx, and i'm 5 bulbasaurs closer to my 3rd venusaur.

Not only is Blastoise better ranked than every Water type besides Vaporeon, it's CONSIDERABLY better than a Charizard with even its best moveset (Wing Attack/Fire Blast). I've said before that the list seems outdated and I got answered in a rude way, so I don't know what to make of this drastically conflicting information.

Call me a moron but I'm just gonna go ahead and assume that a 3 stage starter pokemon with its strongest STAB moves is probably one of the best users of those moves in the game. I'm from EU too (insert joke here) and at my local park, which crosses the entire city, nests changed from 1 to 3 and there are more rare spawns now. Water mons started appearing and I have seen rare stuff like Scyther, Jynx and evolved mons more frequently.

The nests could be shit nests that just migrated to something more interesting but since the entire park spawned shit like venonats and geodudes all the time I want to believe that these are news.

Actually here's more recent pic, sorry i didn't realize it had changed

I need advice. I have way more pokemon lined up for a lucky egg than I will actually be able to use with a lucky egg, and my storage is nearing capacity. I'm still 2 levels away from 30 when I'll get more free lucky eggs, and I'm spending my coins on incubators. I don't want to buy lucky eggs because I'll level really fast and won't have enough dust to fully upgrade my top pokemon. Should I just mass evolve all non-pidgey/weedle/rattata pokemon without a lucky egg to clear out my pokemon and get some exp? I don't know how well I explained this.

What else should I be spending my coins on? I don't want to level really fast because my dust intake will be lower than my dust needs. If I level a little slower and catch more pokemon, I'll be able to keep up with my dust needs. I've already bought 1 pokemon and 1 bag upgrade.
