I would legitimately love it if they introduced regional variants for each region so that every Pokémon had a variant in each art style.

Kanto and Johto forms would use the Gen I and II Sugimori art style, Hoenn forms would use the slightly sharper Gen III art style, Sinnoh forms would all be Gen IV style, and so on.

It'd be a nice excuse to update the older designs for newer games without retconning them, allowing players to use whatever style they prefer most.
