Well, the one that has the most significance to me is the one that most affected his character. Without a more thorough analysis, I would say it's Dawn purely because he was inspired by contests to create new moves, which would carry through the rest of Sinnoh.

The weakest would be a tougher call since there's a lot of them that have no plot significance whatsoever. I will vote for Max, since he doesn't even really have a premise at all, other than being a snooty brat.
