ITT we invent new moves

Teleportation Burst
PP 20
BP 70
ACC 100
Considered a damaging version of Teleport but is technically a U-Turn clone. All Pokemon who could learn Teleport from a TM in gen I can also learn this move (including Archinine and Cloyster for some reason).
I can see my bro Xatu benefiting from a move like this.
>>
>>28782004
We don't need more cancerous u-turn variants.
>>
>>28782023
We could if they also worked like Baton Pass.
>>
>>28782004
Just buff teleport. Make it switch you out, the the pokemon that switches in has their speed increase by one stage. Not a baton pass, as it does not pass anything, just gives the coming in pokemon a speed stage raise
>>
Stealth Rock Burst
PP 20
BP 70
ACC 100
lays down burst stealth rocks, which stack with regular sneaky pebbles
>>
>>28782004
>Bravado
Fighting type/Status
Boosts Attack, Defense and Speed one stage.
>>

>>
>>28782201
Please no
>>
>>28782207
I like this. Only fighting types like Machamp should get it though to keep it fair.
>>
Friction Swarm
Type: Bug
Physical
PP 15
BP 80
ACC 100
30% chance to inflict a Burn.

This is more or less a bug-type copy of Scald. It's based on the tactic of bees and ants to swarm over invaders to overheat them until they die.

Mind Vine
Type: Psychic
Special
PP: 15
BP: 100
ACC: 70
Raises the user's sp. attack by one stage regardless of whether the attack hits. Although this is a psychic-type move, it will be mostlu available to Grass-types; all the pokémon that can currently learn Ingrain.

Taproot
Type: Grass
Status
PP: 10
BP: --
ACC: 100
Removes flying-type from the target and adds ground-type to the target for five turns.
>>
>>28782158
If I were to buff teleport I'd make so that any attack the opponent does fails, so it's basically a free switch. Teleport isn't that known as a move and requires you to waste a slot, so it wouldn't be broken.
>>
Tri-Attack Assault
PP 20
BP 25
ACC 100

Hits the opponent 3 times. 1st attack is fire, second is electric, third is ice.
Each attack has a 10% to inflict a status condition of their repsective type.
>>
>>28782232
>Only fighting types like Machamp should get it though to keep it fair
we got a mind reader here. good job
>>
Tunnel
PP 5
BP --
ACC --

Creates a tunnel in the field. All physical type attacks gain the ground type. (Earthquake move destroys the tunnel.)(Example waterfall will now deal damage as a water/ground attack. Think flying press)
>>
Erosion
Ice-type
Status
PP: 10
BP: --
ACC: --
For five turns, all Rock moves have their effectiveness cut by 67%, including sneaky pebbles.
While this is ice-type, many grass, water, and bug-types would also have access to it.

Icicle
Ice-type
Status

Ice-typed sneaky pebbles. Nothing more to say.

Swarm Storm
Bug-type
Status
PP: 5
BP: ---
ACC: --
This acts as a weather condition, called Swarming ("nearby Bugs begin to swarm"/"nearby Bugs continue to swarm"). The base power of all bug-type moves are increased by 50%, and all rock and flying-type moves are decreased by 50% due to the sheer volume of insects in the air. Abilities exclusive to Bug-types such as Compound Eyes apply to the entire team once that 'mon has been switched in at least once. As with any weather condition, this interacts with many different moves.
-The accuracy of moves such as Thunder, Hurricane, and Stealth Rock is lowered.
-The base HP of light-based recovery moves such as Synthesis is cut in half.
-Sound-based attacks such as Hyper Voice deal 50% more base damage because vibrations.
-Bug-type status effect moves have twice the chance to land their status effect.
And so on.

>>28782564
I love this kind of thing. It's really fun. Here's an uncharacteristic spin on it:

Trivenom Bomb
Special
PP: 20
BP: 25
ACC: 100
Hits the opponent 3 times: first is bug, second is poison, third is rock.

Based on bombardier beetles.

>>28782616
I like this, wew. Weird shit like this is great.
>>
And a trio of status effect moves.

Bugbomb Shock
Bug-type
Status
PP: 15
BP: --
ACC: 100
Boosts the user's speed by one stage. Has a 50% chance of inflicting Paralysis on the target.

Bugbomb Blast
Bug-type
Status
PP: 15
BP: --
ACC: 100
Boosts the user's speed by one stage. Has a 50% chance of inflicting Burn on the target.

Bugbomb Bite
Bug-type
Status
PP: 15
BP: --
ACC: 100
Boosts the user's speed by one stage. Has a 50% chance of inflicting badly poisoned on the target.
>>
Debugging (Normal type)
PP 5
BP --
Acc --

Raises the user's Special Attack and Speed by two stages during three turns, then return to normal. Can only be learned by the Porygon line.
>>
>>28783012
Why do people want even more entry hazards?
Sneaky pebbles were a mistake in the first place (shouldn't have NE/SE modifiers), why would you even want more on top of them?
>>
>>28782451
that's not bad, would be busted teleporting between two stallers with teleport. basically infinite protect. they'd have to figure out how to make it fail if used in a row
>>
Accelerate
Normal
Status
PP: 10
BP: --
Acc: --
On the next turn, the user can select two moves instead of one.
>>
>>28784736
NO
DO NOT ALLOW THIS TO EXIST
>>
>>28784783

>Accelerate
>Normal
>Status
>PP: 10
>BP: --
>Acc: --
>On the next turn, the user can select two
>moves instead of one.

To balance this. The user must then rest the following turn (Like Hyper Beam)
>>
>>28784783
Just make it so two turns is the max you can have.
>>
Extinguish
Type: Water
PP: 10
BP: --
ACC: --

If the opponent was going to use a fire move on you. Prevent the damage. The user of Extinguish now gains an aura that makes them immune to fire type moves. (This is baton passable)
>>
Issolated Room
Type: Psychic
BP: --
ACC: --

The user creates a room (last as long as trick room) where no entry hazards can be placed.
>>
Aenima Vortex
Psychic
Status
PP 5
BP --
ACC --
For five turns the attack/defense and special attack/special defense stats of all pokemon are switched

Possession
Ghost
Special
PP 5
BP --
ACC --
You can use one move from any pokemon in your party that is fainted

Nirvana
Psychic
Status
PP 5
BP --
ACC --
For five turns all attacks against this pokemon deal normal damage regardless of if they're super effective or ineffective, in exchange all attacks this pokemon will use deal normal damage regardless of if they're super effective or ineffective (allows ghost attacks to hit normal and vice versa)

Sneak Attack
Ghost
PP 5
BP 70
ACC 90
Attacks the next non-fainted pokiemon in the opponent's party as opposed to the one on the field(ignores the effects of abilities and items)

Retribution

ACC 95

Life Aura
Fairy
Status
PP 5
BP --
ACC --
Must be used by a pokemon with at least half its hp remaining, depletes all the hp from this pokemon to revive a fainted pokemon in your party with half of its hp
>>
>>28785166
Oh yeah, Sneak Attack is special and Retribution is physical
>>
>>28784912
So you use a move that does nothing the first turn, then use two moves, then have to do nothing again? Why even make the move then, it's pointless.
>>
>u-turn copies
>scald copies
>stealth rock copies

Smogon pls go, we're having fun here
>>
>>28784575
Better idea. Make it priority baton pass with the statboost/sub carry over.
>>
>>28785319
Without* the stat carryover
>>
>>28785276
For set ups like mind reader into sheer cold. Or a set up move into baton pass. Or even a lock in move plus Destiny bond Makes it useless in other situations and it becomes balanced. You could play some nasty mind games with it.
>>
>>28785276
Like I said, it'd be better to just make it cap at two moves. That way you either have to keep the chain going and still only use one move or go all out.
>>
>>28784736
muffled betting it all
>>
>>28785312
>not liking Scald
I love status effects getting passed around to other types.
>>
>>28785019
Ferrothorn would become OP as hell.
>>
>>28785019
This reads like a mtg card, down to the >it gains protection from red
>>
>>28785384
but you would have used two moves anyways, the only difference is that you used them at once instead of one by one SO YOU WOULD HAVE HAD THE INTENDED EFFECT IN THE SAME NUMBER OF TURNS THIS MOVE MAKES NO SENSE JGDLKFJS:OJTH
>>
Over-Extend
Type: Fighting
PP: 10
BP: 20
ACC: --

Sacrifice half of total HP (Can't be used under half health) to switch out the current opponents pokemon with a pokemon of your choice and deal damage to both.

Water-type version of Double-Edge
Aura Power
Fighting
Physical
Base Power 80
Accuracy 100%
Physical version of Psyshock
>>
>>28785350
>>28785567

Read what I said. It's simply mind games. And additional ways of playing the game. Doesn't matter if there are more efficient methods.
>>
Pyroclastic Current
Fire (maybe Ground)
Status
PP 5
BP --
ACC --
For 5 turns, Fire/Ground/Rock/Steel-type Pokemon will have speed raised by 2 stages. Water- and Ice-type attacks will deal reduced damage during those 5 turns.
>>
>>28785567
Mixed wall breaking. Need to predict the switch in? Not anymore.
>>
>upload/download
Exclusive to porygon line
Lets you revert to another moveset previously uploaded. Can be used as a field move to upload, and during battle to download.
I know download is an ability just couldn't think of a better name.
>>
>>28784783
>Mega Kangaskhan used Power Up Punch!

Fucking terrifying
>>
>>28785690
>Lets you revert to another moveset previously uploaded
So it would give them 8 moveslots? That's overpowered as fuck
>>
>>28785882
Well, that's six in practive since download takes up a slot, unless you make it so you can't revert to base moveset during battle. And it takes up a turn. It's not like he had six moveslots.
>>
>>28785948
>unless you make it so you can't revert to base moveset during battle
Nevermind that, it wouldn't even be possible to have a fourth move in that slot, since that's where download would be at the time of uploading.
So yeah, six
>>

Freeze Dry?
>>
Root bind - grass - bp 80, acc 100

deals SE damage against steel, prevents switching by either user or target
>>
>>28786850
How does this interact with Color Change?

>>28786965
Too good. Trapping and extra coverage? Nah
>>
Entice

Type: Fairy
PP: 30
ACC: 100%

Ups the catch rate of the target.

Pride-Match
Type: Fighting
PP: 20
ACC: 100%

Can only be used on pokemon of the same gender as the user. The target becomes engulfed in pride and will not listen to the trainer. Will use a random move til the effect wears off or is switched out.
>>
>>28786970
Color change would still take effect when it normally would. Same as Protein.
>>
Optimize
Type: Normal
PP: 20

Raises the user's Sp.Att and Speed by one.

Give it to Porygon-Z and watch the world burn.
>>
Otherworldly Spite
Ghost
PP 5
BP --
ACC --
Reverts a mega evolved pokemon back to normal for the rest of the battle
>>
>>28786945
Freeze Dry is a good concept but
1) It's still just an Ice-type move with one change. What you're doing is giving entirely different types of moves with different coverages to Pokémon
2) The distribution is absolute shit. 10 Pokémon get it; two are absolutely useless (Cryogonal and Delibird), 3 are physical attackers (Swinub, Piloswine, and Mamoswine), and one has the WORST typing in the entire game (Aurorus)
So that leaves us with Lapras, Articuno, Glalie, and Vanilluxe able to actually take advantage of Freeze-Dry. I'm just so mad at Game Freak's completely token and lazy effort to make Ice-type Pokémon viable
>>
>>28787169
I can only see an UB having this move, it won't have much viability aside from making UB encounters more challenging. But we don't even know if we can catch and battle with them so eh.
>>
Sideline (Normal) [Phys]
BP: 50 | PP: 20 | Acc: 100
Priority: Negative

The user tackles the foe out of bounds, forcing both to switch out.

Combination of U-turn and Dragon Tail.
>Can be blocked by Ghost-types
>Weaker than both U-Turn and Dragon Tail
>Unlike Dragon Tail etc., the foe gets to choose the replacement
>>
>>28786714
>Raikou with Winter Pulse

The death of Hidden Power finally
>>
>>28786970
what if only grass types could learn it?

also exclude ferrothorn because reasons
>>
>>28787169
There's no use for this.
Mega-Sableye just bounces it back.
>>
>>28785615
>Doesn't matter if there are more efficient methods.
Cool alright I'll make a move now with that in mind
Dance party
Type: normal
PP: 20
Acc: -
Power: -
Description: the user has a dance party with the target. This move has no effect.

That's good right?
