What I find strange is that Gamefreak prides itself on shaking things up and breaking expectations. Yet, they've done the same shit for fire starters specifically many times over. What they did to Litten was something that many anticipated (in a negative way; again, no one wanted it), so no one can make the argument that it's original or inspired whatsoever.

People should not assume what a starter will turn into based off deviantart predictions, but why is it so stupid to expect an aloof housecat to evolve into, you know, A CAT and not a comically atrocious meathead? It's not that I'm scared of clowns, but the clown's face doesn't look intimidating, graceful, or loveable, which should be considered factors when making a Pokemon that the player is supposed to bond with.

The tiger's flames seem to be there just to make it a Fire-type and its hunchback is kinda weird. It feels like its trying to do several things at once, and they all combine into something over-detailed and unmemorable.
