That's not at all what has happened with every generation ever. Most people don't play romhacks to begin with and the people who do play like one or two out of curiosity unless it's a difficulty modification, which really are hit and miss anyways. Nobody I talk to gives a flying fuck about romhacks, fampai, and we have a competitive league at my college.

If your logic was accurate, we'd have a daily and consistently updating Uranium thread, but it really just came out, inevitably bombed, and the dust settled and people are still playing the main series games, waiting for Sun and Moon.

It's level patterns, just push the level patterns back to the new evo levels and rearrange any new moves learned and you're golden.

The real fun is when you realize certain pokemon are shit to train now that they evolve later :)

Same as it always was, just with less of it. With a very limited number of sprite artists they have a divided attention in terms of what they work on. They both don't have as much time to dedicate to QC and don't need as much as the average spriter did 2 years ago.
