>8 fossil Pokémon out of 11 based on Mesozoic animals, 5 of which are dinosaurs
>not a single Pokémon based on a Cenozoic animal.
Why is this allowed?
>>28764159
Dumb sadwhitepersonposter
>>28764159
Cenozoic is boring desu familiar
>tfw no Paleozoic Pokémon
They're mostly just big mammals and birds, which there's plenty of already
>>28764159
that's because the cenozoic era is fucking boring, you weenie
>>28764159
Cenozoic is for non-fossils. See Mamoswine.
>>28764180
>>28764218
I actually like the cenozoic, but I will admit that the other eras are better
>>28764218
TAKE IT BACK
>>28764159
The reason for fossil Pokemon is to have an excuse to bring in dinosaurs, or ancient looking Pokemon. Cenozoic animals don't really have enough "WHOA LOOKIT THAT" animals to get kids hyped up.
>>28764234
>Tfw no Ancient Power Dodrio evolution.
>>28764159
>8 fossil Pokémon out of 11 based on Mesozoic animals, 5 of which are dinosaurs
does this make sense to anyone?
>>28764410
Yes. There are 8 fossil pokémon based on creatures from the Mesozoic era. 5 of those are dinosaurs. How is that hard to understand?
>>28764435
>8 fossil Pokémon out of 11 based on Mesozoic
?
>>28764159
>mfw Alola has no new fossils, just Alolan Omanyte and Kabuto
>>28764439
It's a poorly written sentence, but I get what he means.
>>28764439
He means 8 are mesozoic out of 11, it's not that hard
>>28764451
>yfw Alola has no new fossils because instead there will be a hidden grotto where prehistoric pokemon still exist alive.
>>28764315
This. There's not really that much interesting stuff they could do, compared to dinosaurs.
Although to be fair, the same could be said about "It's just like a modern turtle, but big".
It's kind of a shame GF doesn't take more inspiration from non-Mesozoic prehistory.
>tfw no Megatherium Pokémon
>>28764218
>cenozoic era is fucking boring
Kill yourself.
>>28764180
>tfw no Paleozoic Pokémon
Kabuto?
Anorith?
>>28764950
Fucking source lol
What i'd want is fossil pokemon based on animals that went extinct recently
They could do that with dex entries that somewhat reflect upon how humans are destroying so many animals
>>28766260
>fossils
>recent

Anon, pin yourself
>>28764159
Personally, I think fossils should go back to being mostly Cambrian era animals
What's the point of fossil dinosaurs when there are plenty in modern times?

Something that died out several thousand years ago
Did you really not get the point at all?
Are you slow or something?
>>28766306
Whatever!
So they can't be fossilized, the story would still be the same, they are revived through some remaining genetically sample
>there will never be gen 2 fossils

Also Tricerato. Can't forget that one
>>28764159
Because nobody gives a shit about the Cenozoic era. It is all about the Mesozoic era.

>>28766550
Yeah because it's so uncommon for people to just watch the discovery channel/national geographic and learn stuff from there these days.
We're still missing a ton of basic, well-known dinosaurs like the stegosaurus.
>>28766317
Old Time Rock and Roll- Bob Segar and the Silver Bullet Band.
Nothing disappoints me more than when song titles get butchered when they're referenced
>>28766510
His fossil is somewhere out there.
>>28766678
In Unova.

Tyranitar and Meganium
except you don't have to resurrect them from rocks
>>28766689
Tortoises aren't turtles

Or it'll be the Alolan equivalent of the Safari Zone. It is a chain of tropical islands, after all.
>>28766704
>testudines aren't testudines
>>28766620
Aside form dinosaurs, we're also missing cynodonts, prehistoric amphibians, and prehistoric insects(although the most well known of the latter have been covered by Yanmega and Scolipede.)
>>28764180
What is Genesect?
Its pokedex category is literally the Paleozoic pokemon

Ok I'm going to be real honest here, those were the two most generic channels I could come up with. I don't watch much tv other than the news channel.
>>28767129
I used to like Pawn Starts at least, but even that is getting old. I want some actual history documentaries
>>28767083
I'm honestly of the opinion that there is nothing wrong with mythbusters from an entertainment standpoint. Watch it, they do entertaining shit, then go on with your day. Why do people gotta make shit so complicated? I'm sure there are people out there who quickly go to Facebook after watching to share a I Fucking Love Science meme to their friends but that doesn't make the show terrible. The only gripe I have is the real hammy acting they introduced later on into their 'intro segments', fucking terrible.
