Its definitely the general favorite, since al ot of people dont like the overly feminine popplio and dont like the awkward looking, possible fire/fighting litten.
plus rowlet first stage was already considered the fan favorite of those too.

This. It's the only starter I like this generation. Not to say I hate the other two, I don't think they're for me.

So, if I leak a Image of a Pokemon and that Pokemon gets revealed in the next trailer but Gamefreak themselves don't mention it was leaked, it was all just a fake? This is some quality logic.

I actually strongly dislike Rowlett3, it's my least favorite of the three (Popplio3 is nice, I'm worried about Litten being fire/fighting and having weird sausage fingers, but otherwise it's fine).

I think mostly I dislike how humanoid it is. It doesn't feel like a monster or beast. It uses a bow and arrow, and in general I dislike seeing Pokemon that use tools in the same way I dislike Pokemon that wear clothing.

I was really hoping for a big tanky forest-guardian looking Owl, and was definitely hoping the rumors that it would lose flying and become grass/ground were true. But I would have been fine with anything that was still an owl, rather than an archer with a owl theme.

I disagree, pokemon and humans are naturally close, so who's not to say that humans get their bows and arrows in this world from a mon like that, or vise-versa? Also, I think that its a fine evo for Rowlet, it's clearly an owl with an archer motiff, not the other way around. And owls are actually pretty fast, especially when hunting for prey, so it would be weird for it to evolve into something slow and bulky, especially if it were Grass/Ground. Honestly, this might beat Sceptile as my favorite grass starter evo.

At first I didn't like it, because I don't think it was quite what I imagined-- Rowlet always seemed kind of goofy and airheaded and I never pictured it evolving into a sleek archer. But I've grown more and more fond of it, and now I think I'll be genuinely disappointed if it turns out to be anything else. or if split evos happen and archer ends up being Sun exclusive, as I'm preordered for Moon

Not saying it doesn't make sense, just that I don't care for the design. I'll still argue that it doesn't feel at all like an animal to me though. Also the grass/ground thing makes sense in regards to burrowing owls. I could totally see a big bulky owl working out, something that keeps the same stout body type that Rowlett has.

You're seeing what you want to see, guy. I never said I wasn't convinced these are real. I'd be shocked if they weren't. And I never "though" it would evolve into a burrowing owl, just saw the possibility and liked it.
