>>
Who gives a fuck you stupid piece of shit. Your thread is so pointless
>>
>>28744983
So what's the point?
Should it be called "Waspdrill" so that ultra autists like you can jack off to it? Please just fuck off.
>>
>>28744983
It's not a wasp. It's a Pokemon

Good reading comprehension, retard.
>>
It is a bee though.
>>
>>28744983
It's Japanese name is "Spear" so blame the localization team for that one.
>>
>>28747350
The species name in Japan is literally "Poison Bee Pokemon." You can't blame the localization this time you weeb, and the localization knows more about the Pokemon than you and your shit headcanon

Because it's hip to fuck bees, but it's not hip to fuck wasps and hornets.
>>

Hornets are just giant wasps.
>>
>>28747702
Well then wasps are just giant bees by that logic
>>
>>28748059
Wasps doesn't produce honey and they aren't fluffy. And bees and wasps hate each other.
>>
>>28744983
Hornet actually. Vespa mandarinia japonica specifically. Japanese variant of a generally common asian mainland breed. Between having a quarter inch long stinger and relatively potent venom it kills a few dozen annually. Hence it having huge ass stinger hands.

Wasps are bees dumbass
>>
>>28747702
No, they're not. Wasps are primarily scavengers although they a few species do prey live insects as a matter of last resort or just as part of a regional adaptation. Still they will subsist largely on sugar and corpses even if they also hunt. Hornets are exclusively hunters and give zero shits about sugar. That's why Bees, with their specific build for pollen gathering create desirable honey, wasps create semi-sweet jelly, and hornets create an entirely unsweet protein paste; the protein paste is 100% chewed muscle and organs of the dead. Additionally wasps are generally defensive but not combative save for if they feel genuinely threatened. Hornets are highly territorial and will attack given minimal provocation, rather than strictly in personal self defense.

I wonder who could be behind this post
>>
>>28749518
No they aren't, you halfwit. Bees are specifically and explicitly of the apoid family, and wasps are vespoids. "wasp" is a common misnomer in common names for insects, which is specifically why "true wasp" is used to specify the subfamily Vespinae, which are actually specific to wasps. Hornets are technically a subfamily of wasps, but again only those that can fit a more specific criteria, not just an arbitrary label. Vespinae vespidae vepsa denotes a hornet from a broader category of wasp, and they're basically aryan supermen if Hitler had actually be right but for wasps.

There are multiple families of bees and wasps. Going to using "true wasp" is problematic anyways since only a few bug-type Pokémon are based on true bugs anyway in favor of common term of small exoskeleton thing.
>>

>recently discovered

by what fucking standards?
>>
>>28750064
>Going to using "true wasp" is problematic anyways since only a few bug-type Pokémon are based on true bugs
You're missing the point. The specification of "true wasp" is only there to set apart actual entomological wasps from that variety of other bugs that have no actual relation to wasps other than misnomers. That has nothing to do with true bugs as that was never the implication of the mushi type.

Weird thing is, Beedrils produces honey in pokemon super mystery dungeon
>>
>>28744983
That's some nice art
>>
>>28748059
Wasps are more closely related to ants than bees.
>>
>>28744983
Who cares, both are satanic nightmare creatures.
>>
>>28747450
Wasps are just called sparrow bees in Japanese, so I imagine that may have something to do with it.
>>
Japan calls bees, wasps, and hornets all the same thing. I doubt the Japanese creators are paying much attention to which exactly Beedrill is.

It's like the shit with mice/rats and monkeys/lemurs again.
>>
>>28753179
Same with eels and lampreys. (lampreys are called eight eyes eel for some reason)
Hense why Eelectross's name implies it's an eel in both English and Japanese, despite not being one.

Does anyone sell actual wasp jelly? The same way bee honey is sold? It sounds interesting.
>>

What if its father was a combee? Or its mother a vespiquen? (assuming one day we can make the mother poke give birth to the fathers species)
What is it going to be called then, a wasee?
