What is this thing supposed to be? Some say it is a cat, which I can definitely see the resemblance, and others say it's a rabbit or hare, which I assume is because of the ears.
But I wonder if we got it all wrong and those are even ears. There are no holes or other openings to actually hear though on them, they seem more like antennae then ears.
Would that then make Umbreon based on an insect?
And before people go "Not a bug type!", Bonsly and Sudowoodo are pure rock type, look just like a tree, and Bonsly is actually based on a real insect.

Eevee and all of its evolutions are influenced by a mixture of different species belonging to either the Canidae, Felinae or Leporidae family; Domestic dogs, wolves, foxes, cats, jackals, rabbits etc. They aren't a direct representation of any of those specific species of course, they are a homogenised mix of a bunch of them. It's closer to a cat or maybe even a fox. Rabbit, though? The body shape doesn't match a rabbit in any way. Nothing about Umbreon says bug.
