The characters are kinda stale I'd guess you'd call it. Replacing character with quirks and shit like that. They were all extremely trope dependent and weren't "breaking the mold" as I once thought due to the hype. Also look up Space Funeral; a lot of the humor is lifted straight from it and it came out in 2010.

Maybe I would have liked it better if it went the way of OFF and had a relatively minor fan base. I mean, OFF suffers a lot of the same issues (the story is basically just silent hill 2) but the fan base is smaller so you see less people praising it as some sort of testament to how gaming is art when it really is just rehashing.

It's absolutely cool that's all he wanted it to be, but that doesn't make it an above average game. Giving it an 8/10 is still WAY too generous. I'd say it sits at a 6.

Also it's very obvious from that post he's trying to humble brag through the "unsuspected success" story. Trying to detach himself from his fanbase by claiming he never wanted the popularity so whatever bullshit they pull hey don't blame the game don't blame me. He's trying to suck the cocks of detractors while saving his own skin and giving his ego a lil reach around.
