The characters were dumb, the 'battles' were nonexistent, and the dialogue was shit.

So far the worst of the three. I was cautiously optimistic before, now I'm just annoyed. If they had focused on ONE of the battles we could have had something decent in five minutes, but nope

Honestly, aside from a lot of Gary/Blue/Green's dialogue, it wasn't that bad.

I think the biggest problem is the amount of shit they need to cram in 3-5 mins.

I have to disagree. I haven't watched the anime in forever but my favorite episodes were always the league battles. Especially the Orange Island battle where the whole battle spanned two episodes and was nothing but that, pure actions.

This episode was a clipshow. Nothing more. The most we had was two attacks with Lance and that's it. I wouldn't have cared if they glossed over the other three just to show one climactic 1v1 battle with Lance and Blue/Gary but we didn't even get that.
