How would you react if gamefreak creates a pokemon with three types?

If it's just one legendary with a reason for 3 types I'd be ok with it

If they start doing it for a whole bunch because selling gimmick I'd hate it

I think it would be dumb. They would have finally jumped the shark, there really isnt much to do after that. Its an obvious but cheap thing to do for "new content", and the novelty would wear off fast. I dont think i would quit the series, but it would be disappointing.

I wouldn't like that unless the mechanics for types are changed. It's bad enough that so many cool pokémon are useless due to 4X weakness, now there would be 8X weakness, and the possibility of min-maxing 8X weakness with immunity abilities? That's going too far!

Honestly would be cool, but only if it was used for legendaries as it would actually make them seem powerful.
But only if the typing makes sense and works to make it powerful or without many weaknesses.
Question is which typings could do that?

I liked that "Hidden Type" mechanic an anon suggested a few weeks ago, where there's an extra type that isn't visible and doesn't apply for weakness/resistance but just gives an extra STAB.

Like Gyarados getting a Dragon STAB, Pinsir getting a Fighting STAB, etc
