I WANT it to be Dragon/Steel type more than anything, especially considering it gets Bulletproof. I've wanted a Dragon/Steel type since gen 2 and Dialga felt like a MASSIVE "fuck you" from Gamefreak. I will use it forever regardless of stats, looks, and movepool if this dream comes true.

If he ends up Dragon/Steel, here's what we're looking at for matchups. Focus Miss is heavily used, so if this guy retains Bulletproof in the final evo, then that neutralizes one of the bigger threats.

Slap an Air Balloon on him and his Ground weakness is covered for at least one move, if not more depending on how you play your cards right.

Being a Steel trainer, I would personally love to run Bulletproof on this guy... Assuming he ends up Dragon/Steel of course.

if jangmo-o can reference jangling and not be steel, there's no reason its evolution HAVE to be a steel type because of it. especially when you consider that bulletproof does not mean steel (see chesnaught), when its text doesn't hint at steel and when the oh-so great metal armor is actually yellow not metal colored.

The Mo'o is a shapeshifting water- dragon. It could just be "the games are in Hawaii and this is the Hawaiian dragon", and the and the samurai theme gives it steel or fighting. In other words it may be related to the mo'o in name only, as indeed it doesn't much resemble one, pic related. But Water/Dragon still remains a thematic possibility, and as much as I want a new (not including legendaries) type combo, I'm also not willing to set myself up for disappointment.

This brings up the fact that it might just be a special dragon too. We have absolutely no idea, it's design is no solid indication. Dragon's seem especially potent in the "you wont know what it's final evolution looks like" department. Deino, Dratini, Trapinch*, Bagon.. they all look so wildly different in their final forms.

That being said, even if it doesn't 100% wall Gengar, the fact that it challenges it's most common set head up is actually better imo. Same with M-Gardevoir. It's better to have more pokemon that are problematic for them to handle, than ones that just straight up shit all over it and render it useless.

to be fair, if it turn into a dragon/steel mon those immunities would be more usefull than the Soundproof immunities, as ist neutral to fairy hyper voice (and can hit the users with SE Stab attacks) and resists most other Sound-moves.
Being completly immune to gengar and ball-move-users (which there are surprisingly many of) would give it MANY switch in possibilities

Now, let me interject for a moment.
Knights, as we know, fit both Fighting and Steel types.
Chesnaught got fighting to balance out the Fighter/Mage/Thief combo with the other two Kalos starters Coincidentally this seems to be what they're aiming for with Luchalitten and friends but in a different light on the same base concept. But that's for a different time.
He also got HA Bulletproof to signify his tanking abilities despite having some of the worst type coverage one could ask for.
On the other hand, Jang here has both bulletproof and soundproof, both of which abilities currently span multiple types, but still rather specific on the moves.
Because Knights Gallant are fighting/steel, this could go either way.
And while Jangles here is stated to train lots, technically so was Bagon and he ended up part Flying.
Now taking this information, we can't confirm Jangles is Fighting, nor can we confirm it's steel.
BUT
Then we look back at previous knight themed mons.
First we have Gallade. Gallade is very much a fighting type.
Then we have Excavalier. He's steel and also a fucking faggot thief.
Then we have Chestnaught. He's fighting but has Bulletproof to make him seem more defensive.
I'm not gonna get all screechy about muh patterns but so far we've seen Knight themed mons go between the two possible types. So that would lead to thinking Steel.

Now, here comes the important parts that we actually need to look out for.
As is known, Fighting is known as the Good type in japan. This goes in meaning from skilled to morally good, and there has not once been an actively malicious fighting type.

What one would need to look out for is how the second form is explained. If all they do is train train train then one could expect more Steel type.
If it goes on to state them helping others and being a stand up guy, then fighting would be more feasible.
As it is however, expect either.
