Blue/Green should have Y to be a reference to PokeSpe, seeing as that's the only canon Mega in any continuity he's ever had. Not sure which of his Pokemon would hold a Z-Crystal, maybe his Pidgeot? Machamp? Rhyperior?

Give Red a Mega Charizard X to be as edgy as some of the fanbase thinks he is, and to reference Origins, for the same reason as above. Pikachunium Z makes a lot of sense.
