Since we're asking questions here, is there any way to install cias right now? Wanted to install a Homebrew cia so I didn't have to turn off my 3DS to access it, the only problem is I never installed a cia installer, I tried FBI recently but it required to use the browser, and of course I couldn't because I hadn't updated my 3DS

I'm not any of the guys above but just a week ago I was just as clueless and as allergic to complicated technology as you (read: stupid).

I too had an old 3DS with an unupdated firmware which I used to do traditional injecting with, and I stopped after awhile.

Trust me, when they say install homebrew and cfw, you should jolly well install homebrew and cfw. It is totally worth it. These guys are giving you good advice.

I can download hundreds of free games, keep my 3DS in its latest firmware (and go online on all games, rather than being stuck at 9.2) AND still preserve my hacking functions like PkHex and homebrew that are unique to 9.2. This is because of a recent development of an exploit called a9lh, which allows for essentially 2 firmwares to be available on one (I'm simplifying).

So I stuck to it and got through Plailect's guide. Because I was on 9.2, it was easier for me since I didn't have to downgrade, I could just do it immediately. If you're 9.4, you have to downgrade to 9.2, but still, it shouldn't take too long. At most, a couple of hours for tons of reward.

Don't waste the opportunity man. Do the grunt work and install your homebrew and cfw.

Once you've exported your save. Take out your SD card, and put it in your computer. Then launch PKHeX. Go to Options>About PKHeX>Shortcuts
You'll want to learn those. After that makes some edits to your Pokemon. Then CTRL+E to export your save to your SD card.

You can drag and drop events from that collection you downloaded as well. Have fun.
