What are some good competitive niches we're definitely gonna see when Sun and Moon come out?
Oranguru paired with every sweeper.
>>28681974
Pyukumuku with 0 Defenses and Max HP.
>>28681974
swagger thundurus with own tempo mudsdale
>>28682022
RIP

Pyukumuku will gain a niche as a switch-or-die for sweepers, but will most likely remain low tier like Ditto (which is a good thing, since it could be used anywhere).
...unless if it gets things like Spikes/Toxic Spikes. Then it could end up being a hassle, like say this hypothetical set
Custap Berry
Toxic/Scald
Spikes
Toxic Spikes
Pain Split
Pretty much speaks for itself

Sandstorm teams got a new tool in sundog.
Komalas evo could become the best rapid spinner.
Bulky Bruxish with Scald could work, if Dazzling completely stops the opponents priority move.
Salandit is gimmick at best.
Mimikyu has a niche with its ability, stat spread and movepool will tell.
Bulky Mudsdale could become OU with reliable recovery.
Orichorio has some potential, but see Mimikyu.
Jangmo-o evo is pretty much confirmed OU, Bullet and Sound Proof are very good abilities for dragon/steel or dragon/fighting.
Tapu Koko will become the MVP for a new playstyle: Electro field. Alolan Raichu included.
Passimian is gimmickly.
Oranguru could be good in doubles, but i think it's sligthly overhyped.

I'm willing to bet he'll also see a lot of use on rain teams. perfect accuracy damage boosted stab thunders anybody?
>>28682065
Oh shit, just realised that Mudsdale also directly counters those swagplay/parafusion teams. With own tempo, can't be t-waved and gets a free +2 from swagger.
Eevee paired up with Psych Up Pokemon in doubles.
>>28681974
Oricorios will be good in doubles and insane in tripples
>>28682488
eh, we can still flinch it.
