for real though, that is autistic. I always train Bellsprout in Gold and Silver or HG/SS because if you catch one early you can NPC-trade it for an Onix in Violet City straight away.

plus, Victreebel is a pretty good grass/poison dual type to have. mine was really strong learning leafstorm and solarbeam and I gave it a strong poison move like toxic too.
