Nah. Japanese TV celebrities are generally controlled by agents that are extremely protective of their image, and tightly control what these people get to say or do in interviews and on TV etc. If they come across as annoying or obnoxious, it hurts the profit they can generate, so the agents make sure that doesn't happen. As such, these shows are mostly about the clips themselves, with the celebrities mostly being there to act as an audience that can gasp, laugh, sigh or fawn over the clips the same way the viewers would. kind of like a more personable laugh track.

It doesn't sound too interesting in theory, but it generally makes for better television than annoying, loud faggots making shitty jokes and steering attention away from the actual subject to make it all about themselves.

It triggers me because TPCi have done a horrible job of English dubbing the Anime & Movies for the last several years and the quality is so low that it's embarrassing to watch at this point.

I have nothing against the old 4Kids dub, though, it's perfectly watchable and tolerable given the quality was much higher back then.

The point is that there was no point to skip and rush if he was going to lose anyway. Imagine if the same happened to past leagues, for instance. You could have skipped less battles or not have the very first episode a huge clusterfuck of events, for example. Had he fought Alan in top 4 it wouldn't have backfired as hard.

That one had an explanation: he used his illusions to power up into one big shuriken. The orange version... just happened. And only once. Nobody other than Alan even twitched too. He could've used his regular shuriken and literally nobody but Alan would have cared.

Yes, but it seems that when Ash makes it a little far one or two battles get axed, for example back in the Indigo League he had 5 battles, two of which we saw little of them, two took entire episodes and the last one was just a part of one epiosde.
