In Gen2 and Gen3 he was good/great even. Gen4 killed his viability because of the physical/special split funny enough.

Before you could easily see when a super effective Water/Grass/Ice move would come and make the appropriate switch, but now anything can use any coverage move. Pretty much was a death sentence for Marowak.

He's good in Trick Room only now.
